What is Sleep Apnea?

A serious sleep disease where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep.

Caused by obstruction in the airway (Obstructive Sleep Apnea - OSA) or faulty brain signals (Central Sleep Apnea).

Disrupts deep sleep, leading to sleep issues, poor rest, and long-term health risks. Often goes undiagnosed, but can lead to heart problems, high blood pressure, and daytime fatigue if untreated.

Common Symptoms of Sleep Apnea

  • Loud, chronic snoring
  • Pauses in breathing during sleep (noticed by a partner)
  • Gasping or choking during sleep
  • Morning headaches
  • Excessive daytime sleepiness or fatigue
  • Irritability and mood swings
  • Difficulty concentrating or forgetfulness
  • Dry mouth or sore throat when waking up
  • Frequent nighttime urination (nocturia)
